Who is behind this website?

This website is operated by Alexander von Felbert. He lives with his family in Augsburg (Germany).

Alexander von Felbert

He has been working as a risk manager in several financial institutions since more than a decade, gathering expertise in all main risk types. Hence, finance-related examples are commonly used in his articles.

Alexander is fascinated by statistical and machine learning as it combines math, statistics and computer science in a very productive way.

Beside his full-time job within risk management, he does research in the intersection between math and finance. By education, he is a mathematician and computer scientist (University of Hagen and Bonn). For his diploma math thesis, he won a main prize of the Studierendenkonfernz , which is a German-wide competition hosted by the German Mathematical Society, in 2010.
